My successes in Scientology are now part of my life and way of living, so I now have to look back at the way things used to be in order to enumerate the gains I have made. I am very much happier and more confident than I used to be. I am successful in my business and a lot of that is due to the gains I have made through Scientology. I have aspired to much greater things than I would have done without Scientology. I used to worry about my health. Any small physical problem would have me worrying endlessly and needlessly about my state of health. Obviously, I take care of myself now, but I no longer worry about my state of health. Before Scientology, I suffered with dyspepsia (acid stomach). I don't now. I used to have a very low opinion of myself. Scientology has made me a cleaner and more ethical person. I have much more respect for myself and for others. This is a direct result of the application of the technology of Scientology to myself. I was vaguely, but constantly, aware of a black cloud somewhere in the back of my consciousness. At some point in my progress through Scientology, this black cloud blew away and left me with a great feeling of release. I have not had a nightmare for some 25 years. I dream, but have no terrifying nightmares. I sleep easily and well. This was not always the case. I remember that I used to agonize for hours over incidents that had occurred, mistakes and other things that I had said or done. Now, if I make a mistake, I accept it and carry on. I don't repeatedly worry at it and relive it the way I used to. Also, I don't worry about things I cannot change. My study of Scientology has given me a good understanding of people and what makes them tick. As a result, I am much more able to cope with people and situations. Through Scientology, I have become aware of myself as an immortal, spiritual being. This is something I now take for granted, but, in fact, it is one of the greatest gains I have made.
